"Galentine's" Party

I know I said I don’t really LOVE holidays, but when Kelsey (from Kelsey Diane Blog) suggested we have a mother/daughter “Galentine’s” party, I was so excited. How much fun is it to hang out with your BFF, and have your girls who are also friends all spend time together?
We immediately started a Pinterest board for our ideas and met up to go shopping the next day.
We only did our shopping at dollar stores and were lucky enough to find everything we were looking for. So, not only was the party fun, it was also really affordable.
Since I was doing Whole30 at the time and Kelsey’s family is gluten free, I needed to find a festive, healthy snack that we could all enjoy.
I found a super cute heart shaped bowl and a red plate ($1.25 each) and made a fruit tray to bring along.
When we arrived, Kelsey’s house looked beautiful. She had set a place for each of us at the table, and had the cutest little (gluten free) waffle bar off to the side. The girls each got their own bottle of nail polish as a little goodie.
After we finished eating, we played some Valentine’s bingo and then took some selfies (obviously) with the decorations that Kelsey had. (Balloons, also only $1.25 each).
Then the girls went and did some karaoke and played with make-up while Kelsey and I enjoyed having a HOT coffee.
I would absolutely recommend throwing a “Galentine’s” party with a few friends and your daughters. Special memories were made and my girls are still talking about how much fun it was.
